Meghan Markle reportedly "misses some aspects of life in the UK" but it could be a "long time" before she returns to the country, according to a royal expert

The Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry stepped back from the Royal Family in 2020 before relocating to Montecito, California with their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Tom Quinn told The Mirror: "It will be a long time before Meghan reappears in the UK – she has already publicly stated that she will not return to the UK, and her friends insist she is still furious at the way she feels she was treated during her time in Britain.

However, the royal author added: "On the other hand, we should always remember that phrase - ‘never say never,’ because it will come back to haunt you when you change your mind, especially if you are a public figure like Meghan.

"A friend of the couple – one of Meghan’s few aristocratic friends from her time in the UK - told me Meghan does miss some aspects of life in the UK and worries that her children will blame her if they never get to see their cousins and feel as adults that they have been deprived of what might have been a fun and meaningful existence in the UK as working royals."

Meghan Markle has one 'grievance' preventing Prince Harry mending feud with Prince William

Meghan Markle has one condition that must be met before she decides to reconcile with the Royal Family, despite being aware that Prince Harry is desperate to work on the relationship.

A royal expert told The Mirror that even though Harry would be keen for a family reunion, Meghan still holds a grievance against those she believes made things more difficult for her when they were working royals.

Royal author Tom Quinn said: "Harry would like a reconciliation, but supports his wife completely and until she feels that the Royal Family have been sufficiently nice to her - and grovelling apologised for the past - it's not going to happen.

"There has been a shift here since Kate's illness. Harry and Meghan do feel they need to extend an olive branch, but Meghan's sense of grievance is still preventing anything really meaningful happening.

"Illness often brings warring family members together, and there have been hopes at Kensington Palace that Kate's illness might do it."

Prince Harry ‘knew he would get away’ with drug boast while Biden is in office

Prince Harry is at the centre of a political row in the US after boasting about his illegal drug use in his memoir Spare, and in interviews to promote the book.

The prince's decision to openly admit to having used marijuana, cocaine, magic mushrooms and ayahuasca in the past has placed him in hot water.

The admission from Harry prompted a conservative pressure group, the Heritage Foundation, to try and force the US government to release details of whether or not Harry admitted to drug use when applying to live in the US.

Admission of former or ongoing drug use usually prevents a person from entering the US, and under visa rules, applicants are questioned about substance use and previous criminal charges.

One royal expert suggests that the Duke of Sussex "knew he would get away with it" with Joe Biden in the White House.

Prince Harry faces US deportation after making one 'very foolish' mistake

Prince Harry's "foolish remarks" in his memoir Spare could lead to him being deported from the US, as comments made by a US ambassador have further heightened his ongoing lawsuit over there.

Jane Hartley, the American ambassador in the UK, said that any deportation action against the Duke of Sussex was "not going to happen in the Biden administration", a claim which has now been submitted in court papers filed by the Heritage Foundation.

The Foundation is a conservative think tank who have brought a case to have Harry's visa details be released so that it can be determined whether or not he lied about his previous drug use to gain access to the US with Meghan Markle.

In his memoir Spare, the Duke recalled using a number of drugs, including cocaine and magic mushrooms, something that would usually prevent a person entering the US, and Donald Trump has hinted that he may deport Harry if he wins the election this year.

Royal writer Lady Colin Campbell spoke to the Daily Beast about these revelations: "Harry was criticized for being both stupid and arrogant by publicising his use of illegal drugs in his memoir.

Meghan Markle's former aide breaks silence on bullying allegations

Meghan Markle's former aide Samantha Cohen has confirmed she was interviewed by staff at the Palace over allegations the Duchess of Sussex bullied members of staff and forced them to quit.

An internal email from 2018 outlining the claims was leaked to The Times in 2021, just days before Meghan and Prince Harry were interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. The Duchess has always denied the allegations.

Ms Cohen formerly worked as Meghan's private secretary and spoke to Australian publication the Herald Sun, only admitting that she was one of ten staffers who were interviewed by Buckingham Palace as part of their investigations into the claims.

She added: "I was only supposed to stay for six months but stayed for 18—we couldn't find a replacement for me and when we did we took them on tour to Africa with Harry and Meghan to show them the ropes but they left (quit) as well while in Africa."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex toured southern Africa in 2019, just months before they stepped down as working royals and moved across the Atlantic.

Prince Harry is ‘playing a game that can only have one winner,’ says royal expert

Prince Harry will play the game, but he’s changing the rules, and it’s not going to work out well for him, one royal expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex has been recording videos and sending them through to events to make it look like he’s there in-person, in an attempt to control the narrative, royal expert Michael Cole claimed.

Cole sent through commentary to Daily Express US, saying: "It’s clear that Prince Harry is now being produced."

He adds: "The majority of his ‘public appearances’ are not public appearances at all, but carefully choreographed video recordings played into events where his name on the invitation has been the main attraction."

The royal commentator has a theory on why this is because then Harry won’t have to see people he doesn’t wish to see or answer questions he doesn’t wish to answer.

Meghan Markle desperately wants to be liked and ‘is fighting so hard to be relevant'

Meghan Markle has been really busy with her new lifestyle brand, but one royal expert thinks it goes beyond being career-driven - it’s that she wants to be liked.

To Di For Daily’s Kinsey Schofield recently appeared on Talk TV and said: “I think people really dislike Meghan Markle and it must absolutely destroy her or you wouldn’t see her fighting so hard to be relevant.”

She added: “I believe that this is a real PR push for Meghan Markle, even in the descriptions of these shows — cooking, gardening, entertainment and friendship — give me a barf bag.”

Schofield seems less than impressed by the description, but that’s not the worst of it, the royal expert noticed that Prince Harry isn’t mentioned in the Deadline Hollywood announcements.

She continued: “When you share the article on Deadline, the headline is ‘Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is launching two Netflix shows,” there’s no mention of Harry.”

Prince Harry and Meghan's sweet on-camera moment 'could have ulterior motive'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared an explosive kiss at a charity polo match but one royal expert claims it could - in part - be playing to the cameras.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared an on-screen kiss at a recent polo charity match captured by Netflix cameras, but a royal expert has warned there may be an ulterior motive.

The photo was branded "the royal photo of the day" and quickly made headlines - royal expert Kinsey Schofield weighed in on the smooch.

She said: "I'm sure they're still hot for each other. I think that Meghan looked beautiful but I also think - these reality shows are not just a way for Harry and Meghan to make money, they have to change perception."

Speaking to GB News, she continued: "They're not very likeable in the States and I know they're not very likeable in the UK. This is a tool that they are using to change people's perceptions of them.

"That kiss, to me, is a very choreographed photo that is beautiful but it seems like there is an ulterior motive there."

Meghan Markle warned against 'reigniting tensions' with Royal Family during Harry's UK return

Meghan Markle has yet to confirm whether she will be accompanying Prince Harry to the special service to be held at St. Paul's Cathedral to mark the Invictus Games's 10th anniversary.

But she's already been warned over "reigniting tensions" with the Royal Family should she opt to make her first visit to the UK in nearly two years.

PR expert Renae Smith suggested the Duchess of Sussex should exercise "caution" if she decide to accompany the Duke on his trip.

Smith said: "The context of their relationship with the Royal Family cannot be ignored. Given the highly publicised and polarising nature of their departure from senior royal roles and subsequent publicity efforts (Prince Harry's memoir Spare, Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan), Meghan's attendance could potentially simply 'stir media speculation' and ultimately distract from the event's primary focus."

She suggested Meghan should "manage the narrative proactively" to ensure there is no tension resurfacing with the royals during their stay.

The PR expert added: "The key here would be to manage the narrative proactively, ensuring that any involvement by Meghan serves to support the event's goals and does not inadvertently reignite public or private tensions.”

Meghan and Harry ‘have no issues with declaring their love’ during ‘intimate’ appearance

Body language expert Darren Stanton commented on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's recent Florida outing, noting the pair now appear more confident with themselves and each other.

The expert said the royal couple always showed off their closeness but their expressions and hand gestures betrayed a complete level of comfort with each other.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair slots, Stanton said: "From a non verbal perspective, Harry and Meghan have appeared a lot stronger in recent months.

"There used to be some distance between them during previous events, there weren’t many PDA moments between them or touches of affection.

"However, that has totally changed if these pictures are anything to go by. I noticed in one of the pictures, he had his hand on her back and neck, which is quite an intimate gesture to make in front of the public.

"They seem to be a lot more comfortable in each other’s proximity zone. They were both very close to each other, very tactile, and both displaying genuine expressions of happiness. This was demonstrated as their whole faces were engaged - they were both happy to be there with each other.

“The pair have no issues with declaring their love in front of the world. The kiss they shared was quite passionate. They appear a lot more solid compared to past photos. They are very strong and the Meghan and Harry brand appears extremely tight.”
