Applicants wanting to become British citizens must pass a "Life in the UK" quiz, put together from 3,000 facts about what it means to be British.
Anyone who wants to reside in the UK as a citizen must take the citizenship test.
Typically the quiz has 24 questions and must be completed within 45 minutes.

An average of 75 percent is required to pass the real citizenship test, however research by Essex University in 2021 found that most Brits don't know enough about their country to pass.
In total 270 people were given the test, most of whom were UK citizens, and results found two-thirds of Brits fail.
