Thieves snatch pensioner’s purse as she shops in Aldi
POLICE are hunting for two brazen thieves who were caught on CCTV snatching a pensioner's purse as she shopped in Aldi.

The two men targeted the grey-haired woman as she bent down to pick up some food at the store in New Road, Sheldon, Birmingham.
The unnamed woman was pushing a trolley when she made her way towards the fridge section.

CCTV footage then captured the moment two crooks approached the woman and while one walks over to distract her the other reaches into her bag which was hanging from a hook on the trolley and steals her purse.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said they were keen to trace the men who were branded as “opportunistic”.
The men strike as the pensioner checks a shelf
A police spokesman said: "We are looking for two men who stole a woman's purse while shopping in Aldi in Sheldon on Friday, June 3.
"The victim was pushing a large shopping trolley when she stopped to quickly browse the delicatessen section.

"It was at this point that the opportunist thieves pounced and stole her purse from her large holdall bag which she had placed at the rear of the trolley."
One of the men is described as white, middle-aged, was wearing glasses and had short-cropped hair.

The other man is described as Asian and was wearing a close-fitting blue denim waist coat and a short-sleeved white shirt.
