HARRY ‘TO CONFRONT’ BLABBER BURRELL

INCENSED: Prince Harry

Tuesday May 26,2009

WHILE former Royal butler Paul Burrell continues to cash in on the late Princess Diana’s name, we’re told Prince Harry is ready to intervene personally in a bid to stop his antics.

Burrell, who has faced criticism for generating self-publicity from his association with the Princess, was back in the headlines recently following an interview in Italy where he claimed Prince Charles took little interest following Harry’s birth – going to the opera after seeing his newborn son for “five minutes”.

Burrell went on to allege that Diana was in an “ocean of tears” after Charles announced he had never loved her.

Royal insiders say that Harry is “incensed” by the ex-servant’s remarks and is prepared to speak to Burrell in a bid to stop him causing further upset.

“Harry is angry that he, his mother and his father are being spoken about by Burrell in this way,” we’re told by a royal mole.

“He’s had to put up with a lot from Burrell but this latest interview was the final straw. He feels he’s the only one who can do anything about it. He’s ready to speak to Burrell over the phone.”

Burrell was not invited by the princes to attend Diana’s memorial service in 2007 after profiting from her name.

Recently, the married father-of-two faced fresh humiliation courtesy of a Channel 4 documentary, featuring his former lover Greg Pead.

The programme alleged that Burrell had once been suspended as a footman after being implicated in a gay porn ring on the Royal Yacht Britannia in the early Eighties and that he married on the insistence of the Queen.

“Harry knew Burrell very well when he was a child so you would hope he will be finally shown some loyalty,” adds our source.
