Redmond O'Neal 'responding well' to drug treatment
FARRAH FAWCETT's troubled son REDMOND O'NEAL has been praised by a U.S. judge for making good progress in his battle against drug addiction.
Redmond, whose father is actor Ryan O'Neal, is currently undergoing intensive drug treatment in a remote California prison, following his April (09) arrest on charges of trying to smuggle drugs into another Los Angeles correctional facility.
But he is making steps towards recovery and in a progress report hearing on Thursday afternoon (28May09), Commissioner Jane A. Godfrey declared he was "responding well" to drug treatment.
Redmond, 24, has only been allowed out of prison for two visits to his cancer-stricken mother since being locked up in April.
He is due back in court for another hearing on 25 June (09), reports RadarOnline.com.
