Horlick revealed as Bramdean bidder
NICOLA HORLICK, dubbed City Superwoman, yesterday emerged as the mystery bidder for the Bramdean Alternatives fund she manages.
It marks the latest twist in a bitter struggle as Horlick fights an attempted boardroom coup at Bramdean by its biggest shareholder, property magnate Vincent Tchenguiz.
The company said in April it had received an approach that could lead to an offer and yesterday disclosed Horlick’s Petersfield Asset Management company was the previously unidentified bidder.
Tchenguiz has a 28 per cent stake and wants to replace the entire board and has called a special shareholders meeting on June 18. Although Horlick is not a director she risks losing the lucrative contract to manage the investments.
