Spacey's movie hit with assault claims

Bosses on KEVIN SPACEY's new movie CASINO JACK have slammed reports a photographer was assaulted on-set - insisting it was the snapper who turned violent towards crew members.

An unnamed photographer started taking unauthorised shots of Spacey and the film set on Sunday (14Jun09) before being asked to leave.

The cameraman claims he was grabbed by the arm and thrown into nearby bushes by crew working on the movie. He also alleges Spacey told him, "Don't ever take my picture and fight with the crew."

But assistants on the picture, which is shooting in Canada, have branded him a liar - and blamed him for assaulting a crew member.

Witnesses told the Ontario Provincial Police the photographer pushed one of the production assistants when he was asked to leave and "struck him in the neck with something".

The assistant claims the snapper stumbled while he was walking backwards up the steps, according to TMZ.com

Neither party is pressing charges.
