Jen won’t give up on ex John
UNLUCKY-IN-LOVE Friends actress Jennifer Aniston is back in touch with her rocker ex John Mayer.
Chums claim the actress is finding it hard to break contact with her former toy-boy and is hoping to win him back by sending him notes before his concerts to keep the flame alive.
Although the couple’s on-off relationship came to an end in April, Jennifer, 40, is said to be struggling to stay out of his life.
“Jen sent John a hand-delivered, perfumed note before one of his concerts this week,” revealed a source close to John.
“It read, ‘Play well, you always do.’ It was sweet, she clearly doesn’t want to let go completely.”
It’s the first time Jennifer has extended an olive branch to John, 31, directly since they broke up, though pals say she has been in touch with his brother and always talks fondly of him in his absence.
“John hasn’t shown any interest in other women since the split, which is a break from his usual pattern,” added the friend.
“Who knows, this may not be the end of their romance. Neither seems very good at letting go!”
As we recently reported, Jen joked at a recent showbiz bash that there was a “strange parallel” to the movies she’d been doing – the titles of which include Derailed and The Break-Up – and her life off-screen.
“So if any of you have a project that’s titled Everlasting Love With An Adult Stable Male...” she quipped.
Since the breakdown of her marriage to Brad Pitt in 2005, her dates have included actor Vince Vaughn and model Paul Sculfor as well as John.
