INTER MILAN sporting director Marco Branca was locked in talks last night over a £10 million double bid to sign Ricardo Carvalho and Deco from Chelsea.

Branca flew to London for talks with Chelsea yesterday, with the Italian club also prepared to offload Brazilian defender Maicon.
Chelsea are demanding a joint fee of £13m for Carvalho, 31, and midfield flop Deco, 32, who moved to Stamford Bridge only 12 months ago in an £8m deal.
But the Portuguese pair do not fit into new boss Carlo Ancelotti’s plans and Deco and Carvalho are anxious to team up again with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho at Inter.
Chelsea’s previous interest in £20m-rated defender Maicon has cooled because of concerns over his alleged love of the nightlife.
