Roberto Di Matteo to replace West Brom manager

ROBERTO DI MATTEO is West Brom’s shock choice to replace Tony Mowbray as manager.

First-choice Alan Irvine decided to stay with Preston, leaving the way open for ex-Chelsea player Di Matteo to get the job.

Di Matteo has little management experience, but did lead MK Dons to the League One play-off final last season after succeeding Paul Ince, himself a contender for the Albion job.
