CRISTIANO Ronaldo has completed his dream move to Real Madrid - for a world record £80m.

The 24-year-old has agreed a six-year deal with the Spanish Giants and will be presented at the Santiago Bernabeu on 6 July.

The former Manchester United player will join Brazilian winger Kaka, who was unveiled yesterday, in a new Galacticos era at Madrid.

A statement on Real's website read: "The player will be tied to Real Madrid for the next six seasons.

"He will be presented on 6 July at the Santiago Bernabeu."

An unconditional £80m fee was agreed between Real Madrid Manchester United last month. And the player agreed terms and conditions with the club last week.

Today United manager Sir Alex Ferguson paid tribute to the Portugal winger.

He said: “Cristiano has been a marvellous player for Manchester United. His six years at Old Trafford have seen him develop into the best footballer in the world.

“His contribution has been a major factor in the club’s success in that time and his talent, his ability to entertain and his infectious personality have enthralled fans the world over.

“Everyone here wishes him well in his future career.”

Ronaldo leaves Old Trafford after six years and having won a Champions Leagues and three Premier League titles.
