HULL plan to follow up their capture of Sydney Roosters prop Mark O’Meley with the signing of Wakefield half-back Jamie Rooney, who is on loan at Barrow.

Wakefield are close to capturing Bradford’s Terry Newton, North Queensland Cowboys’ Shane Tronc and James Evans from Castleford Tigers, while the Tigers want Brad Drew and Tony Martin from the Wildcats.

Catalans Dragons have inquired about former Test winger Lote Tuqiri who was sacked by the Australian Rugby Union last week.
