Real Sociedad will not comment on the club's possible interest in acquiring the services of former Fulham manager Chris Coleman.

Coleman reportedly arrived in San Sebastian on Wednesday and is linked to succeed Miguel Angel Lotina in charge of the Basque outfit.

"We cannot comment on who will be the team's next manager or sporting director until after Saturday's administration council meeting," said Real Sociedad press office.

Coleman's possible arrival will only take place should the current administration council be ratified.

Former Real Sociedad and current Wales manager John Toshack has been mediating with the current club administration to bring Coleman to the Anoeta stadium.

The 36-year-old Coleman and Cardiff City manager Dave Jones are reportedly the two main candidates to guide the club next season in the Segunda Liga.

Lotina resigned shortly after Real Sociedad were demoted to the second division for the first time in 40 years.
