LESLIE’S NERVES OVER HOLBY DEBUT

Story Image

RETURN: Leslie will play a scheming exec

Tuesday September 29,2009

HER return to TV after a horrific five years fighting the debilitating effects of MRSA may be a thrill for LESLIE ASH but the actress admits she thinks her new colleagues on Holby City must have been shocked to hear she was joining them.

Leslie, who made her name as sexy Debs in Men Behaving Badly, will be on our screens as Holby’s newest recruit, scheming executive Vanessa Lyton, from next month. The 49-year-old says: “It must have been weird for them to hear that Leslie Ash is joining the cast and that she walks with a stick, she’s disabled and has to go to the loo a lot!

“I’m nervous about when it goes out on screen for the first time. I’m worried that people will think, ‘She doesn’t look very good and she looks old.’ I’m looking forward to seeing how I’m accepted in Holby.”
