‘RECOVERY WILL TAKE FOUR YEARS’

BRITAIN’S economic recovery will be “feeble and fragile” and take four or five years to get back to normal growth, shadow business secretary Kenneth Clarke warned yesterday.

His comments followed Gordon Brown’s pledge “to see Britain’s economy return to growth by the turn of the year”.

The PM made the promise after figures showed the recession was continuing – confounding predictions that growth had resumed.

But Mr Clarke said: “The next Parliament is going to be dominated by trying to get it back to something like normality and a normal rate of growth.”

Britain was worse affected than “pretty well anywhere else in the Western world”, he said, partly because of its “colossal” debt.

Mr Brown’s decision to sell more than half Britain’s gold reserves 10 years ago at a low price has now cost the UK more than £6billion.

If he had sold it now he would have made an extra £6billion profit, equivalent to £238 for every household, said jewellery buyers Cashmygold.co.uk.

We are the weakest nation with nothing more than a service industry.Thus with no export market supported by a manufacturing industry
providing employment for the masses
we shall be the last to recover.
On another note overpopulation needs to be addressed to keep the planet sustainable, this may very well be already taking place by way of mass medication programmes engineered and controlled by the `WHO', by way of virus releasing-vaccination-fluoridation-radiation
etc programmes.
Why,the construction of super crematoria are already taking place and gaining planning permissions.

Of course the British will have to live in poverty because they HAVE to BORROW nearly £70 Billion per YEAR to keep the europeans in the style that they have become accustomed.

Just imagine a UKIP government, that will spend the euro money in Britain, circulating around the British economy, Where the lack of euroland controls means that manufacturing industry can once again , provide jobs for British workers, where our ships and platforms can be made in British yards making British jobs for British workers ..and the British Fishing fleet can catch fish and sell them to euroland .

The British Taxpayers will no longer be paying for the education of Euroland immigrants , care of euroland pensions who arrive with their families, for the dentistry and health care that would have cost tens of thousands had they not made a bee line for the British Isles.But most of all, the British would no longer pay for the imaginary children claimed by euroland families on benefit that don't exist back in Poland or Maldova.. or where ever..

Ken Clarkes invitiation to the Conservative front bench by Cameron says everything about the Conservative Party willingness to bend over and take everything europe directs at them- It is driven by the American wish to know all that happens in euroland, the Americans funded the Britain in Europe Campaign, the Americans , last week were upset that Britain wanted a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty... the Americans are risking the British as a pawn in their confrontation with euroland... and I for one are getting mighty fed up with it.. and its cost.

The British need to snatch back its own government and stop it being used as a foil between the superstates...We have had enough... I have had enough of Ken Clarke's treason too.

Ken is very keen to sell off the British Mail deliveries...Its because it is ILLEGAL under E.U. Law for our government to OWN an industry that competes with other EU companies... like Duetche Poste... Ken Clarke therefore teams up with Mandelson to push this eurland requirement through parliament.. and in the Press and TV. They are working TOGETHER to distroy Great Britain..

There is much more to the Post Office dispute than many people realise.Labour are sucking the profits dry in order to cause the pension deficit.

In the meantime, know that when Ken Clarke speaks... its european drivel that comes out.

Four or five years for the economy to recover Ken? That is very optimistic. Not in my lifetime and never to what it was in 2005. A sea wichange in our lives is taking place and we will have to get used to a more humble lifestyle in the future
with less of everything.
