Posh and Becks

DAVID Beckham received a rapturous reception from the American public when he touched down in LA last week to begin life as a US superstar.

But he was less than welcoming to the idea of his wife’s bandmates staying over when their world tour hits America.

The former England football captain plans to ban the newly reformed Spice Girls from his £11million Beverly Hills mansion.

Having the fivesome under one roof would be “much too much”, he suggested.

The LA Galaxy ace, 32, will be joining wife Victoria and the girls for the reunion tour which kicks off in December after Galaxy’s major league soccer season. But asked if the girls would be staying at Beckingham Palace “mark two”, he grinned: “I don’t know about that.”

Victoria, 33, declared him the “official Spice Boy” and he showed he still has a soft spot for Geri Halliwell, 34, Melanie Brown, 32, Melanie Chisholm, 33, and Emma Bunton, 31, by admitting he is thrilled the band are reforming.

He said: “It’s great for them to be back together. I’m going to enjoy it. My boys are looking forward to seeing their mum on stage.”

Boys Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 4, and Cruz, 2, were looking cool in the LA sunshine while tonight they may be watching NBC’s screening of Victoria Beckham: Coming to America.
