Minnie Driver has her hands full looking after her son Henry

SHE has always refused to name the father of her child but new mum Minnie Driver admits her decision to go it alone caused an “insane earthquake” in her life.

The British actress forged a successful career in Hollywood but says that looking after one-year-old son Henry consumes her whole day – she doesn’t even have time to look up parenting tips online.

“Reading about somebody else’s tough experiences of being a mother, you’re suddenly like, ‘My God, I’ve got a kid and I don’t have time to read this. I’ve got to go do it’,” says the 39-year-old, who used to date Matt Damon.

“There’s no time. If he’s sleeping I’m trying to sleep and when you’re breast-feeding you’re the milk machine.

“There’s no time to pick up the guitar, much less go for a walk or have a beer. The first year of Henry’s life has been just an insane earthquake for me.” But she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“I waited a long time to have children because I had this career that was kind of like my kid, it required as much nurturing,” she adds.

“There’s no amount of hassle that could be bigger than my love of Henry.”
