SPITTING Image actress Kate Robbins, cousin of Paul McCartney, has revealed she turned down requests to do any impressions of his vilified ex Heather Mills as she is too “nice”.

The 49-year-old reveals that the former Beatle’s ex-wife was “always charming and really nice with my family - no problem”.

Ahead of the release of a new Spitting Image DVD she says: “I was asked to do an impression of Heather Mills on something else recently and I refused to do that. I would never touch that. It’d be like pouring oil on to a fire.”

And while Kate has kind words to say about Heather, 41, she also gives Sir Paul’s current squeeze, American Nancy Shevell, 49, the thumbs up. The pair have been together since November 2007.

“I’ve met Nancy a couple of times – she seems lovely. Really nice. She’s perfect for him. She likes being in the background. She’s a home-maker, she’s a mother, she’s beautiful, she’s a kind, nice person. She just seems really right for him,” Kate gushes.
