Retail Trust’s Search for a Star, the hunt to find shop workers with an ambition to entertain has already uncovered some A-list turns.

One of the celebrity judges, Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon, said: “We’ve been impressed and surprised that some acts haven’t already been snapped up by labels.”

The final leg of the auditions are next Saturday at the O2 Centre in Hampstead, north-west London.

The final four acts will perform at the OK! magazine Christmas party.
