TROUBLED WATER FOR ART

Backstage at the gig at New York’s Madison Square Gardens, Art, 68, is said to have asked a staffer for a tissue for his nose. But when the poor fellow gave him a paper towel, Art responded by screaming: “I said a tissue!” – and threw it aside.

His rant comes hot on the heels of his outburst at a poetry show earlier this year.

When interrupted by someone in a wheelchair in the front row, Art said: “I’m as sympathetic as anyone to the handicapped but I’m trying to do a show.”
