The chef has launched a new dating service on his website, linked to match.com, and wants to act as Cupid. “My site and match.com both have great communities on them. Hopefully, by partnering up, we’ll be able to bring single food lovers together and make some love matches,” says 34-year-old Jamie, who is happily married to Jools, 35.

Those signing up to the service can read dating tips and follow romantic recipe suggestions including sushi and oysters.

Only time will tell if Jamie’s fans can love each other as much as they love tiramisu. But one thing’s for sure – it’s a myth about the amorous properties of oysters. We had six last night and one of them didn’t work.
