John Paul Jones leads Them Crooked Vultures 
Friday November 20,2009 By Robert SpellmanEX-LED Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones joins two men that idolised him as teenagers - ex-Nirvana and Foo Fighters drummer Dave Grohl and Queens Of the Stone Age guitarist and vocalist Joshua Homme - for some filthy hard rock fun on Them Crooked Vultures.
The interaction of Jones and Grohl produces some sledgehammer dynamics shouldn't be missed, but Homme's singing has that irritating grunge-meets-metal tone and generally the songs don't stick.
