HAWN PROUD OF HUDSON'S DANCING ROLE

Story Image

Monday November 30,2009

GOLDIE HAWN fought back tears when she visited KATE HUDSON on the set of movie musical NINE - because seeing her daughter dance made her so proud.

The Almost Famous beauty stars alongside a top cast, including Penelope Cruz, Dame Judi Dench and Nicole Kidman, in the highly-anticipated film, and she invited her mum along to watch the shoot.

And Hawn, who began her career her as a dancer, was overwhelmed when she saw her beloved daughter take centre stage.

Hudson says, "I always sang and I always danced and I always performed. My mother was a big believer that if you want to do this in your life you have to get up and go for it.

"She came to the set and it was fun for her. I think it was emotional for her too because that's how she started her career.

"She was a dancer and she really dedicated a lot of her life to dancing. For her to see me dancing with a chorus of other dancers was a big thing for her because that's where she started, as a go-go girl."
