JOHN LENNON’S SON JULIAN FINALLY FORGIVES HIM

The pair had a difficult relationship, particularly after John left his mother Cynthia for Yoko Ono in the late Sixties. Julian, 46, has often acknowledged his anger at the late Beatle .

Now Julian says the release of his new single Lucy, based on his recently deceased childhood friend Lucy Vodden, who was also the inspiration for the Beatle classic Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds, has finally allowed him to forgive his dad.

“It’s come full circle in many respects,” says Julian on website whatgoeson. “ I had a lot of bitterness and anger . It wasn’t until the writing of this song that I really forgave my father.

“I realised if I continued to feel that anger and bitterness towards my dad, I would have a constant cloud hanging over my head .

“Writing is therapy for me,” says Julian . “It has also allowed me to embrace dad and the Beatles.”
