Owen Hargreaves

Monday July 30,2007

Manchester United's new signings Owen Hargreaves and Anderson could be in line to make their debuts for the club on Saturday.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson might call on both midfielders for the friendly against his son Darren's Peterborough at London Road - Hargreaves is on the mend following a knee injury while Anderson has been away on international duty with Brazil.

Peterborough boss Ferguson told the Evening Telegraph: "Owen is training this week and if he comes through unscathed he could be here on Saturday. There's a chance we could get Anderson and (Ole Gunnar) Solskjaer as well. I'll know for sure later in the week but if players like that turn out, it should be a great occasion."

Peterborough have sold more than 9,000 tickets for the match even though United are due to face Chelsea in the Community Shield the following day.
