Britney too toxic for Swedish duo

IT SAYS something when even an obscure Swedish duo trying to break into the music scene will snub you because they claim they’re “too busy”.

Now it’s transpired that the real reason fallen pop princess Britney Spears had her pleas for a collaboration with Lucky Twice turned down earlier this month was that the duo’s management feared an association with Britney would tarnish their clean-cut image.

“Britney’s had an amazing career but we don’t feel that working with her would be beneficial to the Lucky Twice image,” says an insider.

The teenage pair, Hannah Reynold and Sofie Larsson, have had a record  1.2 million visits on website Youtube, but despite their ambition for fame they are keen to distance themselves from Britney, who is now better known for her shaven head than her hits Baby One More Time, Toxic and Oops!... I Did It Again.

“We don’t want to be associated with her bad behaviour because Lucky Twice have many young fans,” adds the insider.

“The girls have sold millions of records and although helping Britney is a nice thing to do, it’s not worth risking jeopardising their image for her sake. I’m sorry.”

Ouch.
