Gordon and Sarah Brown take to the GMTV sofa
MR ROMANCE appeared on the breakfast TV sofa yesterday – in the unlikely guise of Gordon Brown.
The Labour leader held hands with his wife Sarah and told her how much she meant to him.
As the pair gave their first joint live televised interview, the Prime Minister said: “I just think what she’s done, just coming round with me, working with me, supporting me. I just love her.” Giggling Mrs Brown replied: “Thank you!”

In another indication that he will stand down if Labour are defeated tomorrow, Mr Brown pledged to “take full responsibility” if voters rejected him. Mr Brown also revealed he may quit politics to do charity work if he loses. “I don’t think it will work that way but if I couldn’t make a difference any more then I would go off and do something else,” he told GMTV presenter Lorraine Kelly.
“Sarah and I may go off and do charity voluntary work.
“I don’t want to do business or anything else.”
