THE parents of missing 15-year-old Rosemary Edwards spoke of their heartbreak yesterday after she was found hanged in woodland.

Talented student Rosemary is believed to have killed herself after a row with her mother and father.

Two walkers found her body at Bartley, in the New Forest,  10 miles from her home at Dibden Purlieu, Hampshire.

Father David Edwards, 52, said they were unaware of the “torment” Rosemary had been going through in her personal life, adding: “We are all feeling completely shell-shocked.

“Rosemary touched so many people’s lives and it seems impossible to believe that she was so low that she felt life wasn’t worth living.

“The police are going to use Rosemary’s dental records to confirm it is her. But the clothes and the shoes matched those we thought she was wearing.” Her mother Jennifer, 47, writing on a website forum, said: “I will be grieving for my beloved daughter for the rest of my life.

“She is dead and I don’t know why and nor does anyone else. People always look for blame and answers but sometimes there is no one to blame and some questions can never be answered.”

Rosemary’s brother Robert, 17, said: “She had a fantastically good 15 years of life and will be missed by all, especially her friends and family.

“We don’t know what could have happened in Rosemary’s life to lead her to the circumstances that have occurred. But I know deep down that she knew that so many people loved her.” Keen horserider Rosemary, who also had an older sister and gained an A-grade in GCSE maths, disappeared three weeks ago after fleeing to her bedroom in a tantrum.

Her parents had refused to allow her go horseriding after discovering she lied about being sacked from a part-time job.

There was a huge air, land and sea search and her father’s employer offered a £100,000 reward for information.

Computer programmer Mr Edwards said: “We now know from the internet trail on her computer and from text messages on her phone that she was going through some kind of torment in her head.

“But at the same time she was her usual jolly self when around family and friends.

“The last time I saw Rosemary was at 10.30pm on Tuesday, September 4, when I said goodnight and asked her for a hug. She refused but I gave her a kiss on the cheek.

“I wish I’d said how much I loved her. But how many parents do this just in case it could be the last time you see your daughter?”

May you find peace in your sorrow....you are not to blame in any way for this very sad tragedy. May you find it in your heart to remember your daughter for the love she gave to you, her laughter and many years of joy.

May we also come to learn why our adolescent children take such drastic measures.....in order that we may prevent many more teenagers who for no apparent reason become susceptible to mental illness.

God bless you all.
