MILIBAND: NO EURO VOTE

Story Image

David Miliband

Wednesday September 26,2007

DAVID Miliband yesterday vowed that Labour will not give in to growing demands for a Euro referendum.

In his first Labour conference speech as Foreign Secretary, he claimed that the controversial European Union reform treaty “offers clear protections for national sovereignty”.

But last night the Tories challenged Mr Miliband to a live TV debate about whether to hold a national poll over the treaty.
Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague said that to dismiss people’s concerns would be “sheer arrogance”.

Mr Miliband told the conference: “The Reform Treaty abandons fundamental constitutional reform and offers clear protections for national sovereignty. It should be studied and passed by Parliament.”

He warned that Europe had already split the Tories and could damage Labour.

Growing numbers of Labour MPs, including some former ministers, are now calling for a referendum.

NO EURO VOTE

26.09.07, 9:23pm

so David Militant (sorry Miliband ) thinks that the british people do not need to vote ,as a slimy ,self interested spineless politician( did not have the bollocks to stand against brown in the leadership elections so rolled over and took it from behind just to secure himself and his brother a nice cushy job with afat pension, expenses and all the other trimmings at the hard working tax payers expense).
This is certainly a man who puts the ublics welbeing before his own...NOT...,THE SOONER THIS UNQUALIFIED,WORKSHY,MONEY GRABBING POLITICIAN and the rest of the rest of them in the government are voted out and a party that values hard work, effort and honesty are voted in the better...

IS THERE AN OFFENCE HER SOMEWHERE?

26.09.07, 8:17pm

As it seems treason towards the English population is not an offence. To cheat and lie is normal practice. Can we not get Trading Standards to take action

Ther must be some penalty for selling your country down the river for a fat wage and pension!

MILIBAND -TYPICAL NU LAB FASCIST

26.09.07, 8:13pm

Miliband shows his contempt for British democracy and freedom. How typical of this New Labour regime!
The tories and lib-dems are just as bad -if not worse.
All three are fanatical supporters of the E.U.

As a concerned freedom-loving patriot, I will definately be voting for the BNP next year
