Coach Carlo Ancelotti

GLORY SEEKING AC Milan have warned they will be going all out to smash two Champions League records and Celtic in the San Siro tonight.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti and defender Daniele Bonera know their place in the next round is already assured but the European Champions insist they still have plenty left to play for.

They know a home win tonight could hand Group D rivals Shakhtar Donetsk the second qualifying spot, at Celtic's expense, but more importantly they are looking to finish top of their qualifying group for a record sixth time.

While top striker Pippo Inzaghi is just one goal away from beating Gerd Muller's top 66 goal haul in Europe's top club competition.

"It's an important record, Bonera claimed on the prospect of winning the group.

"Our main aim is to finish first in our group. We are the European champions and we don't fear anyone.

"Being first in the table will help give us an advantage, so we will be all out to win.

"It is also in Milan's DNA, we have a win attitude.

"I think this match is open to any result.

"We are not making any calculations. Celtic will do the same."

His coach Ancelotti is also hoping that Inzaghi can write his name into the history books against Celtic.

He said: "It might be an important day for him tomorrow but Inzaghi may also have other occasions.

"He wants it so much and he is almost there so we really hope he can reach his target by tomorrow."

That should set the alarm bells ringing in the Celtic camp as they need their first ever Champions League away day point to make the knock-out stages for the second consecutive season.
