JK Rowling 'supposed to be a boy'
HARRY POTTER creator JK Rowling says she had several bad hair days as a child and her parents wanted her to be a boy.
The writer, 42, discusses her “tragic childhood haircuts” while she and younger sister Diane look at old photos of themselves JK Rowling: A Year In The Life Of screened on December 30.
Speaking of her lack of style, JK moans: “My haircut was always crooked.”
She also reveals that as a little girl she always wore blue while Diane wore pink. She explains:
“I was supposed to be the boy. I was supposed to be Simon John.”
