HAVE YOUR SAYDO MPS DESERVE THEIR MASSIVE PERKS?Wednesday January 30,2008 MEMBERS of Parliament faced demands last night to come clean over exactly how much taxpayers' cash is being pocketed by their relatives. Campaigners suspect a significant slice of Westminster's annual £53.1million salarie's pot for MPs' secretaries and researchers is going to immediate family members.

CHESHIRE MPS PAY RENT FOR FLAT.
11.02.08, 6:33pm
As I live in Cheshire but not these particular Mps Consituancies, I wonder if the question has been asked as to mjust which one claimed what. If the mortgage was in both names and as both where making a claim did they both claim the full monthly payment or 50%, also now that the flat has been bought and they are renting are they both claiming the full rent or 50%. I know where may vote goes and it's not on the 50/50.

IN A WORD NO!

Until we can make sure that the elderly and infirm stay warm in their homes then MPs should only receive expenses as proved by receipts and certainly NO perks!
It's a disgrace that MPs so willingly shove their snouts in the trough whilst our OAPs are freezing or starving to death!

DO M.P'S DESERVE THEIR MASSIVE PERKS
03.02.08, 7:16pm
You can safely say they do not. This article shows that the Conservative M.P''s are just hoping for a miracle to get rid of the present Govt. whereas they could be using the cash they are currently misusing to find out where we can attack them.
How can Gordon Brown claim we have a sound economy when he relies on people borrowing money to keep it going. but then we must avoid inflation and the only solution is to lower interest rates. Not tell people in manufacturing industries to work harder we do not have one. As Frederick Forsyth wrote in his excellent article on Friday we have got to try to rebuild our manufacturing industries if we want to improve living standards in this country.. There was another excellent article in the D.E several years before the Gerban re-unification when they compared living standards of a german engineer with a U.K. engineer. There was a vast difference then, it would be enormous now. In those days West
Germnay had a vast working force a low static interest rate full employment and no doubt everyone keen to work in industry That is the way forward for both the individual and the country. Now the safest place to work is either the service industry or the private sector they are pulling in the money and responsible for our decline. When the Conservatives were in power we used to see an Annual Balance Sheet.which we would use to judge the state of the ecomnomy. First value of Exports v Imports, sometimes a slight debit balance but bring in profits on Banking and Tourism and we were in Credit All we hear now is either the economy is free wheelingi raise interest rates or there is panic in the high streets no money about lower rates. What a yo-yo society we have.A nation of money lenders and shopkeepers, not unfortunately selling our own products but goods from overseas which at one time woulfd bear the Made in the U.K. sign. What happened why did we let them go What happens when a major U.K. MANUFACTURER DECIDES HE CANNOT AFFORD TO MAKE A PARTICULAR PRODUCT IN THE U.K. Is ther an immediate meeting of all cocerned Trade Unions, Bank of England Dept of Trade and Industry or have they all given up. Is there, in fact any one in at the Dept of Trade and Industry. What action was taken when it was decided to build the Q.E.2 I understood we could not compete because our interest rates were so high. Have any researchers come up with a fugure for the value of Cruise ships that have been built or are on order. I can give them a rough idea several billion pounds worth. On the other hand the customer might have thought they will go on strike. We were taught another lesson As Germany declined Japanr rose in the Manufacturing industry but they had enough sence to build in a No Strike Deal There are similar problems in all Industries.Another r problem is that the man who could not build up our Manufacturing has been touted as a possible future .P.M.. that will add to our problems
I thought it would be nice to have a home page so I coud comment on any Govt led problems. Uunfortunately this country has led us into one stupid situation after another so watch this page.
