SALLY ANNE SUSPECT 'HAD SEX' WITH HER CORPSE

A MAN accused of murdering Sally Anne Bowman confessed to having sex with her after she was killed, a jury heard today.

The 18-year-old model was murdered by a sex attacker who left her dead in front of her home in September 2005.

She was stabbed several times in the neck and abdomen and bitten on various parts of her body.

Chef Mark Dixie, 35, denies murdering Miss Bowman.

Prosecutor Brian Altman said: “This was not a motiveless attack but was motivated by sex - to gain sexual gratification."

He added: "Mark Dixie had later confessed to having sex with Sally Anne as she lay in a pool of blood in her driveway - but claimed she was already dead."

But the prosecution’s case was that Dixie killed Sally Anne in South Croydon in the middle of the night in September 2005.

Mr Altman said: “Sally Anne had been savagely and brutally killed.”

Sally Anne, the youngest of Linda and Paul Bowman's four daughters, died two weeks after her 18th birthday, the court heard.

She had recently been on holiday to Kos to celebrate the birthday with Lewis Sprotson, her boyfriend since the age of 16.

Her sisters Danielle, Nicole and Michelle described her as “single-minded and focused” as well as “warm and kind-hearted," Mr Altman said.

She was interested in music and drama and was awarded a place at the Brit (British Record Industry Trust) school.

Mr Altman added: “She had often spoken about a modelling career which she was keen to pursue.

“She was convinced that she was going to be a top model. Her ambition was to be on the front page of Vogue magazine.”

She had a portfolio and had already appeared at a couple of fashion shows, Mr Altman said, while according to her sister a top modelling agency had started showing an interest in her.

Colleagues at the hairdressing salon where she worked described Sally Anne as a “very lively and happy girl”.

The court heard that Miss Bowman was living in a rented room but would sometimes stay with her mother.

Sally Anne had been there before going out in Croydon town centre on the night she died.

Mr Altman said: “The last thing Sally Anne said to her mum was ’love you mum, thanks for letting me stay’ and she promised to send her a text message to inform her whether her sister was dropping her off home. Linda never received a text."

Why is it so difficult for the judiciary to create new laws that when a life sentence is given it actually means LIFE? I find it very odd that someone is given a "life sentence" and can then be out in 5 or 6 years. I personally would like the return of the death penalty for crimes such as this, but if it can't return then why is it so hard for life to mean just that?

Will have to attempt to survive in one of H.M. prisons.
There is no way that he will be placed on normal location and as the crims come and go,all will want a piece of him.
Let them have him I say,that would be real justice.

Felt quite giddy reading this. Bring back hanging as soon as possible because these crimes are just getting sicker and sicker. If they are hanged they can't plead temporary insanity.
