EXPRESS COMMENT
CHURCH MUST RISE UP AGAINST EASTER SACRILEGE
ALTHOUGH you might not know it from the way some schools operate, we still live in a Christian country where teachers have a legal duty to promote our religion.
Already we have seen the downgrading of Christmas – for reasons of daft political correctness – and now Easter
is being undermined as the most important of the Christian festivals.
Education chiefs’ plan to delay school holidays until two weeks after Easter Sunday next year shows at the very least a lack of respect for Christianity and, at worst, downright disdain. Increasingly, Christianity – the rock on which our civilisation has been built over two millennia – is being betrayed by schools to the detriment of our young people.
It is small wonder that children have lost their moral compass and fail to grasp the difference between right and wrong when our religion is held so lightly. Look at how differently minorities are treated by schools. The Holocaust and the Crusades are being quietly ignored by some teachers lest Muslim pupils are offended or anti-Jewish sentiments are inflamed.
And Britain’s proud role in abolishing slavery is being watered down to protect the sensibilities of Afro-Caribbeans.
This political nonsense is as offensive to the minority as it is to the majority. We must not allow history to be glossed over or rewritten in this way. What will they hush up next: the very existence of Jesus? The Church should find its voice and quickly.
ENGLISH CHURCH MUST SHOW THE WAY
18.04.07, 7:20am
The world is gods playground and children are no longer safe to play and grow up in it in a well balanced spiritual, material and metaphysical way, either in this country or any other country simply because grown ups lack a sense of real purpose. That purpose and the signs are their in our young people as being full of resentment for each other and their parents all having the lack of awe, wonder and amazement for the world around them at a very young age which is why they are like they are in maturity. Its time people supported their church more to improve things at home, at school and at work, and its time the church itself showed people what Religion is really all about by focusing on and promoting THE CALENDAR. This being a multicultural English calendar of course, following the example of all gods’ creations in a world "creature" environment involving the seasons by which all things are regulated and controlled overall by universal solar energy methods. Recycling is not new, it’s always been there from day one and you can read about it in genesis in the first book of the bible which is what the Original English Calendar is based on. America has lost its way becoming the devils homeland and everyone is following its capitalistic and material example, this is not the English way.

NO RELIGION

I dont think that any religion should be taught in our schools. All that is needed to be taught are good moral values, respect for one another, tolerance, and good manners and as an atheist I hope I have these values.......

Why should a school be promotiing any religion good moral values can be promoted without religion, church schools promoting religion is fine but others should just promote good moral values and respect.

TEACHERS TO PROMOTE CHRISTIAN VALUES AND CHRISIAN RELIGION
03.04.07, 12:36pm
I believe that every Christian child, living in a Christian country, should have religious education, be it, 1/2 - to 1 hours a week. Also the teachers at Christian schools should be promoting sure occasions as Christmas, Easter etc..
People have to get back to church learnings. Since the church stresses "family" and "family life", values....AND parents it is your responsiblity to TAKE your child to church, not just to SEND them!

CHRISTIAN RELIGION.

I believe that every parent should have the choice in this country whether or not their own children receive any religious education whatsoever.
When a child is admitted to any so called Christian school the parent should be given the opportunity in writing to have religious education or not for their offspring and sign a document to confirm their choice which can be amended as the child matures if so wished.
If the parent requires any further help or guidance I also believe a chat with the head teacher would possibly be useful.
Religious education must not be forced upon anyone otherwise future resentment will occur.
Stopping any religious education because some twit feels it may possibly offend someone else is wrong, this is our country ENGLAND, what is left of it.
These pc brigade types who object to nearly everything use the excuse that someone complained, utter rubbish, they think that they enhance their argument by fictitious backing but they do not fool me.
I have asked 3 of my 'foreign' friends about this problem and they do not care a less, not interested, they just wish to do their thing religionwise and live a quiet life.
Schools should not be allowed to have any legal duty whatsoever regarding religion, choice, choice, choice.
Christian country or not it is questionable whether or not anyone nowadays is really bothered apart from those making money out of it..
AMEN.
