HAVE YOUR SAYARE WIND TURBINES AN UGLY WASTE OF SPACE?Sunday February 10,2008 Tesco has approved secret plans to build wind turbines up to 50ft high at virtually all of its 2,000 stores. The group is desperate to improve its green credentials and wants planning laws relaxed for its so-called micro-generation schemes.

WIND TURBINES ARE TOTALLY UNNECESSARY!!
28.02.08, 3:35pm
It is time the Global Warmists admitted that they have been wrong all along and that man has negligable influence on global temperatures.
According to the four major temperature outlets[Hadley,NASA's GISS,UAH,RSS] in 2007 the global temperature has fallen dramatically!
The total cooling ranges from .65Cto.75C-a value large enough to erase nearly all the global [natural] warming of the past 100 years.Remember that last year CO2 emissions were the greatest ever...so how come?
Last winter was also one of the coldest for decades[exept in W Europe] throughout the world...also the Southern hemisphere has had no measurable temperature increase in the last ten years..it is amazing that so many people seem to believe alarmist propaganda than real observation -based facts

ARE WIND TURBINES AN UGLY WASTE OF SPACE?

Although wind turbines are not the most attractive structures they do cause a lot less damage than floods.

ORDERED TO GO GREEN

Shortly, we are going to have to use energy efficient light bulbs - or else.
I passed a pub in town on Friday, and saw that they were advertising 120 TV screeens over 4 floors.
How much energy is being used by powering 120 TVs over say at least a 12 hour period?
What with that, and shops like Tesco having their lights on during the night, I think the Government has some front telling people to turn their TV off rather than leave it on standby.
They should be cracking down on businesses first.
But, as usual, the little person at the bottom of the pile gets the flak and pays the highest price.

I work in industry in the UK and we are probably one of the most heavily regulated countries in the world! I have just filled in my Pollution Inventory for 2007 and believe me the Environment Agency want to know EVERYTHING - do the 'little people' have to report on how much energy they use in their homes with a view to being slapped with improvement notices if they fail to show improvements on previous years - come on, join the real world SandieL - the 'little person' has it easy compared to business in the UK!

COAL IS THE ONLY ANSWER FOR POWER WE HAVE LEFT IT TO LATE!
21.02.08, 1:06pm
This energy problem that is looming will never be resolved by any of these airy-fairy means, as we do not have the time to indulge in this development. The crisis is upon us and successive governments have failed to grasp the nettle. We need to build power stations quickly and the only viable option is coal where we have millions of tons of the stuff under our feet.
The pollution Britain will add to the environment with the number of stations we need is minuscule. China is producing two of the dirtiest coal fired power stations a week.
We either wake up and get our finger out or we will be held to ransom by foreign energy suppliers.
The luxury of thumb twiddling and biffy ideas from the beardy brigade is not going to save us.

WIND TURBINE OR UGLY POWERPLANT?
17.02.08, 7:33pm
I would rather see a field of wind turbines than the ugly power-stations poluting our horizons.
Plus once established they only require maintenance and require no dirty fuel stock.
Think about it!
