Three face sex trade rape charges

Two men and a youth are appearing in court charged with a total of 18 counts of rape.

Police investigating alleged sexual assaults and robberies at premises involved in the sex trade have charged three people.

They are to appear in custody at Waltham Forest Magistrates' Court, east London, Scotland Yard said.

A 17-year-old from Hackney, east London, is accused of 11 offences between December 1, 2007 and February 20, 2008 - four counts of rape, two of robbery, two of recklessly trespassing on a premises with intent to commit a sexual offence, conspiracy to rape, conspiracy to burgle, and conspiracy to rob.

Andre Victor, 20, of Fawcett Estate, Clapton, east London, is charged with 19 offences between the same dates - seven counts of rape, three of robbery, four of recklessly trespassing on a premises with intent to commit a sexual offence, aggravated burglary, conspiracy to rape, conspiracy to burgle, conspiracy to rob, and causing a female 13 or over to engage in penetrative sexual activity.

Imani Williams, 20, of no fixed abode, is charged with 19 offences committed between the same dates - seven counts of rape, three of robbery, four of recklessly trespassing on a premises with intent to commit a sexual offence, aggravated burglary, conspiracy to rape, conspiracy to burgle, conspiracy to rob, and causing a female 13 or over to engage in penetrative sexual activity.
