Friends star Jennifer Aniston has received a huge boost from millions of fans after an Oscar night party upset.

She is reported to be devastated after failing to link up with former husband Brad Pitt and his new love Angelina Jolie at a fundraising bash which the three were due to co-host.

But last night millions came out in support of Jennifer with many visiting internet chat-rooms and fan sites to air their views.

Brad, 44, and Angelina, 32, pulled out because they were at another party celebrating Angelina’s latest pregnancy. The invitation to the bash with Jennifer even included the threesome’s names printed side by side.

Jennifer, 39, is believed to have been nervously awaiting her first face-to-face meeting with her rival since her dramatic split from Brad in 2005 and Hollywood was buzzing with excitement.

But Brad and Angelina, who are already parents to a biological daughter and three adopted children, pulled out suddenly.

Just hours earlier, onlookers at the Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles were left in no doubt about Angelina’s news, as she walked the red carpet in a tight black gown which revealed her baby bump.

Jennifer is said to have been saddened at being denied the chance to achieve “closure” on her marriage break-up.

She and Brad split soon after he met Angelina on the set of the film Mr & Mrs Smith.

Jennifer, who has no children, has a loyal following around the world and Brad and Angelina’s no-show has sparked reports of a new feud between the two women.

Since splitting with Brad, Jennifer has been involved with actor Vince Vaughan and model Paul Sculfor.

There have also been reports of a liaison with Aaron Eckhart, her co-star in new film Traveling.

Some believe Angelina is expecting twins and will marry Brad. Jennifer has yet to settle down and enjoy the family life once envisaged with Brad.
