PENSIONER KILLED FOR PIN NUMBER

Story Image

Georgina Edmonds

Tuesday March 11,2008

A pensioner murdered in her cottage was tortured by her attacker for her pin number in the moments before she was bludgeoned to death.

Two months after Georgina Edmonds, 77, was attacked in her Hampshire home, police have released further details about her injuries.

So far no-one has been charged in connection with the murder on January 11, which has been one of Hampshire police's biggest ever investigations.

A post-mortem examination revealed at the time that Mrs Edmonds died as a result of extensive head injuries at her cottage in Brambridge.

But detectives have now said that Mrs Edmonds also sustained a number of other injuries including stab wounds to her body.

Officers believe Mrs Edmonds was tortured before she was killed and that the attacker or attackers used a knife to cause puncture wounds to her body in an attempt to force her to disclose the pin number for her cash card.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Barton, said: "This was a horrific attack on an elderly lady who lived alone and we are continuing to urge the community to come forward with information that could help us find the person or people responsible.

"At this time we believe the weapon used to torture Mrs Edmonds was possibly a kitchen paring knife or something of similar shape and size. This weapon has not yet been located.

"I would like to remind the community that these type of offences are incredibly rare and there have been no other similar attacks anywhere else in the United Kingdom, in terms of the pattern of injuries."

The prime suspect in the case is a man captured on CCTV on the evening of Mrs Edmonds' death trying to take money from her account at a cash point machine in Eastleigh - just a few miles from her home. The man was dressed in a fluorescent jacket and failed to get any money but police have not been able to trace him.

Sorry but the useless police couldn't catch a cold so this poor lady will become another statistic to be fiddled by the McMafia when they tell us crime is down.
My only hope is that when a revolution comes the man of Straw and these out of touch judges are held to account.

MESSAGE FOR KOJAK

11.03.08, 2:02pm

Civil servants do not act with impunity. We are bound by rules and regulations unlike politicians who appear to be able to get away with anything. Shame you have to turn this thread around to another attack on the public sector when the story was about the horrific murder of a defenceless old woman in her own home.
We'll all be old some day, none of us wants to end our life in this vile inhuman manner.

PENSIONER MURDERED

11.03.08, 11:55am

Never mind, the top Judge in Britain will let the perpetrator off with a slapped wrist. Attacking the elderly is going to be the new sport in Britain , it may well qualify for the Olympics.

All murdering scum should be hung - make that a new sport.

THIS MAN SHOULD NOT GET A LIGHTER SENTENCE

11.03.08, 6:55am

Just because he may be addicted to some substance.
Hard physical labour should be employed in jails.
That would cure the addiction along with a daily whipping !!!

BRAVADO!

Quote: CROOKS who target the elderly could avoid prison and get away with just a community order, Britain’s most senior judge said yesterday....

British Justice at it's best?
This statement gives a carte blanche (full discretionary power given to a person.) directive to every would be thug in the land to behave with what verges on impunity.
Much like the majority of MP's and civil servants, I suppose.
