BRITISH VICE GIRL CLIENTS EXPOSED IN GOVERNOR SCANDAL

Story Image

APOLOGY: Governor Spitzer

Tuesday March 11,2008

By Martin Evans

BRITISH clients of a high class global call girl ring are threatened with exposure in the scandal engulfing New York’s corruption-busting Governor Eliot Spitzer.

Married father-of-three Spitzer, 48, was caught ordering a vice girl by the FBI – and now documents placed in court to prosecute the alleged pimps are set to reveal the identities of British customers.

One, known to the FBI as “Client 6”, allegedly paid £500 to a prostitute named Astrid during a meeting in London on January 12.

They met for an hour at around 9am at an undisclosed location. Astrid later said “everything was fine” but Client 6 called the company to say that while she “was very nice”, “next time he wanted to see someone else”. Two other women named as Sophia and Helena were also revealed to be on the books of the Emperor’s Club in London.

One woman was asked if she would attend an appointment in Europe with a client who was prepared to pay more than £12,000.

Clients would pay by credit card and charges would appear on their bills as QAT Consulting. A website published images of the women’s bodies but disguised their faces.

Spitzer apologised last night as he fought for his job, saying: “I’ve acted in a way that violates my obligation to my family and violates sense of right and wrong.”
