Asbo for the ‘Bob The Builder’ yob aged eight

Baby-faced Michael Bratcher has become one of the youngest tearaways to be put under an anti-social behaviour order after neighbours said he regularly pursues them wielding the tools.[>

But Michael told police he only carries them because he wants to be a builder when he grows up and uses them to make tree houses and dens.[>

The Asbo handed to his mother Lisa, 46, bans her from letting him out alone after dark. The single mother of three was also given a separate order covering her oldest son Daniel, 22.[>

The orders have led to the family being nicknamed the “Brat pack” because of their surname. A father who gave evidence against Michael said: “He has thrown bricks at my son, urinated on him, spat at him, sworn at him and thrown slates from the roof at him.[>

“Chisels, screwdrivers, hammers – you name it, he has chased kids with them. He and his gang [>

terrorise this place.[>

“He might be eight, but he acts like a teenage thug. To say they are neighbours from hell is a cliche but it’s true. She’s a disgraceful mother.”[>

But Lisa claims that her sons are being victimised, and said even though Michael is “no angel” he recently won a star at school for helping in the canteen.[>

“Apparently he’s the Damien of the neighbourhood,” she said, “but what they said about him in court wasn’t true.[>

“Michael and his little mate used to make camps in the trees across the road and I bought them a hammer and stuff. They are being ganged up on.”[>

Lisa was given the Asbo at Torquay County Court after her landlords, the Riviera Housing Trust, received complaints about her behaviour from residents in the Shiphay area of Torbay. [>

As well as the terms relating to Michael, Lisa is banned from allowing cannabis or loud music in her house and having more than three visitors a day.[>

Lisa admitted: “I do like my rave and dance music but I’ve sold my music system.”[>

The separate Asbo covering  Daniel bans him from the house and orders him not to contact any neighbours.[>

Both Lisa and Daniel are also banned from “assaulting, threatening, harassing, pestering, insulting, using threatening behaviour to or otherwise abusing anybody”.[>
