£1.9M PAY PACKET FOR GAS CHIEF

BRITISH Gas boss Sam Laidlaw sparked fury last night by revealing a pay deal worth more than £5,000 a day.

His £1.9million package was exposed after a 109 per cent rise in customer prices over the past three years.

Mr Laidlaw, chief executive of parent company Centrica, has presided over a five-fold increase in profits.

He raked in a £873,000 salary, a £753,000 bonus and other benefits totalling £244,000 last year.

The pay package was branded “odious” by a consumer watchdog.

The large profits had come at the expense of consumers, particularly pre-pay ones, said Allan Asher of Energywatch.

The 2007 packages of the company’s four executive directors topped £5million. Centrica cut its BG residential workforce by 2,000 last year.

Are we saying that no one else in all these millions could do his job for a fifth of his pay packet.
At £1000 a day it would still be a handsome wage !
He is just a human being like you or I.
Given the training you or I could crack this job in weeks !

WHAT THE HELL DOES ANYONE NEED £5000 A DAY FOR?

LAIDLAW CAN EAT THREE MEALS A DAY - HE CAN ONLY WEAR ONE SAVILE ROW SUIT AT A TIME - AND HE IS PERFECTLY HAPPY TO CAUSE GRIEF AND MISERY TO MILLIONS OF HIS CUSTOMERS BY CHARGING EXTORTIONATE AMOUNTS FOR HIS GAS VIA PRE-PAYMENT METERS.

WILL HE BE ASHAMED OF HIS FAT-CAT PAY CHEQUE? NOT AT ALL. HE IS BRANDED WITH THE SAME ARROGANCE AS CERTAIN MP's, WHO DO NOT BATTER AN EYELID WHEN RIPPING THE POOR TAX PAYER OFF TO THE TUNE OF COUNTLESS THOUSANDS OF POUNDS.

BROWN AND LAIDLAW WOULD MAKE A GOOD DOUBLE ACT. THROW IN MICHAEL MARTIN, THE SQUEAKER IN THE HOUSE OF CONMEN, FOR GOOD MEASURE AND YOU WOULD HAVE A FORMIDABLE TRIO OF SCALLYWAGS OF THE FIRST ORDER. THEY ARE ALL EQUALLY DEVIOUS, NO CREDIBILITY, NO CONSCIENCE - THEY ARE BLATANT HYPOCRITCS. UNFORTUNATELY, LAIDLAW IS NOT ALONE - BROWN HAS ENSURED THAT THE FAT CATS BECOME EVEN FATTER - BROWN LOOKS AFTER HIS OWN AND THAT INCLUDES LAIDLAW. ALL PALS TOGETHER.

WHAT A WORTHLESS LOT OF CREEPS WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH IN OUR DAILY STRUGGLE TO SURVIVE.

This is not too difficult to achieve when your parent company is your wholesale supplier which in turn is apart of a European gas wholesale cartel, combine this with a captive customer base and what do you know........your on £1.9 million. It used to be called extortion, a scam
Al Capone would have been very proud of!

- - Reckon i'll buy me one of those industial size ones that are towed behind fairground wagons - then tell British Gas to get THEIR pipes and meter off of MY property.
