MINISTER IN CHILDREN'S SCHOOL DILEMMA

Saturday March 29,2008

The school attended by the children of Schools Secretary Ed Balls faces being taken into special measures due to falling standards, it has been claimed.

Grazebrook Primary School, in Stoke Newington, London, is due to be criticised by Ofsted following a recent inspection, reports said.

The children of Mr Balls and his wife, Treasury minister Yvette Cooper, number among the school's pupils.

According to the Daily Mail newspaper, standards at the school have been found by inspectors to have declined rapidly and it is failing to provide an acceptable level of education.

But a spokesman for the Department for Children, Schools and Families said the Ofsted report had not yet been published.

"Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper have consistently taken the view that while they are public figures, their children are not, and have a right to privacy," the spokesman said.

"They do not discuss the details of their children's education and do not intend to do so - including commenting on speculation about an unpublished Ofsted report."

MINISTER IN CHILDREN'S SCHOOL DILEMMA

When "Ed" or his Colleagues spout their rhetoric, I do not always fully understand what they are implying because in my younger days I never learned "Bullshit" at school, I only did French.
