DIANA INQUEST JURY OUT TO CONSIDER VERDICTS

The jury have heard 6 months of evidence

AFTER a mammoth six months deliberating over the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed, the inquest jury has been sent out this morning to decide their verdicts.

Coroner Lord Justice Baker sent out the Princess Diana inquest jury at the High Court at 11.55am to decide their verdicts on the deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed.

Dodi’s father Mohamed Al Fayed and Princess Diana’s sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale were among those who appeared at the High Court.

The panel first began examining the circumstances around the 1997 car crash which killed Diana, her lover Dodi Fayed and driver Henri Paul, exactly six months ago.

The jury will deliberate on evidence from 250 witnesses, who testified either in person or through statements, to determine whether the crash was manslaughter, an accident or unexplained.

But, on the orders of the coroner Lord Justice Scott Baker, they cannot return a verdict which supports any of the murder conspiracy theories which have surfaced surrounding the tragedy for 10 years.

The coroner ruled this week that there was “not a shred of evidence” to back up such an idea.

Diana and Dodi were killed in a car crash in the Alma underpass in Paris in the early hours of August 31, 1997.

They were followed by paparazzi after leaving the Ritz Hotel that night but accounts differ over whether the photographers were around them at the moment of collision.

Earlier this week Coroner Lord Justice Baker gave the jury five options of final verdicts.

They are:

* Unlawful killing through grossly negligent driving by some or all of the pursuing paparazzi - a level of negligence he said would amount to manslaughter.

* Unlawful killing through grossly negligent driving on the part of Henri Paul.

* Unlawful killing as a combination of the driving of both the paparazzi and Mr Paul.

* Accidental death.

* An open verdict.

CORONER BIASED SUMMATION

I followed this inquest, reading the transcripts and the Coroner's summation to the jury. How could he eliminate the possibility of murder? It is conceivable that Diana was murdered because of the landmine issue but the jury cannot comment on that.

It seems to me that the Coroner and Al Fayed's lawyer should have been allowed to give his summation so the jury could hear 2 interpretations of the evidence. This Coroner told the jury, by his interpretation of the evidence, how they should vote. I hope the jury will look at the evidence and remember the conflicting evidence of the police and some of the government officials that the Coroner decided not to mention.

I agree that there isn't any evidence to show that the RF was involved in Diana's death even though she was a problem for them, and her death enabled Charles to marry Camilla.

Do not presume . You are in no position to guess my reading habits; I have read every word for the last 11 years.

The European Courts have already closed their doors to any possible last ditch inquriy.. even before the end of this one... the French Government have seen to that.

Go read the transcripts of the summing up at least before you post your wild accusations. Don't forget the judicial process i.e. Court of Appeal IF there has been any misdirection or withholding of evidence.

LORD CONDON OF THE MET POLICE VERDICT ?

When will Lord Condon be charged for perverting the course of Justice ?
He admitted to hiding informaton , which would have changed the direction of the initial French Police inquiry, and may have led to the apprehending of Diana's murderes .

The mamagedment by Scott Baker has been a complete farce and whitewash...Baker has no right to lead the jury as he has. it is for the Jury to decide the outcome...
