AL FAYED: IT'S NOT OVER

FATHER: Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed

Tuesday April 8,2008

By Nicola McCafferty for express.co.uk

EGYPTIAN billionaire Mohamed Al Fayed is today considering whether to continue his legal battle over the deaths of Princess Diana and his son Dodi.

Yesterday the Diana inquest ruled that the Princess of Wales and Dodi Al Fayed were unlawfully killed in the Alma Tunnel, Paris in August 1997 as a result of the criminally negligent driving of Henri Paul and pursuing paparazzi.

The unexpected 9-2 majority verdict by the six women and five men opened up the possibility that Dodi’s father, Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed, could now pursue a private prosecution against the paparazzi in the French courts.

The Diana inquest ended yesterday

Today Al Fayed's spokesman Michael Cole said he would be having discussions with his family and lawyers over whether he should continue to fight for his son and Diana.

Although the tycoon had originally said he would abide by the verdict of the jury at the inquest into the deaths, Mr Cole explained: “When he made that declaration, it was on the assumption that the jury could be allowed to hear everything.

“They weren’t.”

He added: “He had no way of knowing that so many key French witnesses would refuse to come forward.

“It is only reasonable that Mohamed should take time to tell his family the full implications and discuss with his lawyers the full implications and sleep on it.”

Speaking on behalf of Al Fayed this morning, Katharine Witty said the Harrods would be "reflecting on the full ramifications of the verdict" before deciding a course of action.

"I think it is something he is considering...I think he is going to be very mindful of what people are saying - which is that it should end here," she added.

"Everybody is saying, let it end now, time to move on, and just as William and Harry will never get over the death of their mother, Mohamed will never get over his son, you don't just do that, move on from the death of a child."

In a statement released yesterday after the inquest’s sensational verdict, Al Fayed unleashed his outrage that the Queen and Prince Philip had not been made to appear at the High Court.

He said: “I still believe that Prince Philip and the Queen hold valuable evidence but they were not questioned.

“No one should be above the law.”

The tycoon added that he was "deeply disappointed" that the jury were not allowed to reach a verdict of murder.

He said: "I’m not the only person who says they were murdered.

"Diana predicted she would be murdered and how it would happen."

Al Fayed has long believed that the lovers were killed in a plot orchestrated by the Duke of Edinburgh and MI6.

Yesterday Prince William and Harry agreed with the verdict given at their mother's inquest, saying: "The two of us would like to express our most profound gratitude to all those who fought so desperately to save our mother’s life on that tragic night.”

The quivering lip coined the phrase 'Peoples Princess' I had not given it any thought before he mentioned it, hadn't altered my life in any way no reason to, politically it was right for the occasion as has been mentioned in summing up some of the things that happened in Blair's time

Families have lost their son, husband , brother or daughter in a Muslim country now fighting for democracy for the people of that country, those families too mourn their loved ones, they do not have money to fight a court case costing millions against the people who sent them there, their cause IS a just one as they cannot get at the truth as to why they were sent their in the first place, they were fed lies to justify the need to put their love ones in danger, where is their justice they too have lost a sons/daughter,
no it was not because it was their job,our servicemen/womens role is in defence of the realm our masters in the EU did not send their love ones, don't talk about justice , in
Al Fayed's case ,when its someone to blame you want .Whose employees were they who allowed that journey in which the accident happened,do they not all share the blame?

AL FAYED: IT'S NOT OVER

09.04.08, 11:52am

Since when has this geezer been an "Al"? He's a backstreet pedlar from Egypt who somehow got rich in the West Indies - I wonder how. How would YOU get rich in the West Indies or Brixton for that matter?

YOU'RE RIGHT IT'S NOT OVER

08.04.08, 8:10pm

Mr Al Fayed - keep fighting. Ignore all these people who can't see further than their own noses. There's a lot of envious people out there jealous of your status, jealous because you got off your bottom and actually worked for your money, just not happy for you. Let them rest in peace by getting the truth out once and for all.

AIN´T OVER TIL THE FAT LADY SINGS...AND SHE HAS SUNG!

08.04.08, 7:11pm

go to moviesfoundonline.com and there you can watch a very informative documentary ¨Diana: the witnesses in the tunnel¨ (2007) with interviews with the witnesses in the Alma Tunnel that saw the crash..first hand accounts from the objective doctor that happened upon the scene.

Mr Fayad, when originally hearing of the crash, blamed it on the paparazzi..but as it started to emerge that Henri Paul was suspect...Mr Fayad started up with the conspiracy murder theory. Stands to reason...he doesn´t want to be blamed for her death...and if his driver was drunk...well then he is resposible...and anyone else other than the Royals would sue him for every penny after this ruling. Certainly if he has the right to sue the paparazzi then someone has the right to sue him. Diana´s family certainly do.

Mr Fayad didn´t realize so many witnesses would refuse to appear?? DUH! with all his fancy lawyers NOONE told him that this was a very real possibility and what the laws stated with regards to making them appear.?? Get a refund!!

watch the documentary...it´ll open your eyes..
