BURRELL WILL NOT FACE PERJURY PROBE

Former butler Paul Burrell is unlikely to face a perjury inquiry

Tuesday April 8,2008

Diana, Princess of Wales's former butler Paul Burrell looks set to escape a perjury investigation after the coroner at her inquest said he had no plans to refer him to police.

Lord Justice Scott Baker, who last week branded Mr Burrell a "liar", has confirmed that he is "not minded" to pass the matter on to Scotland Yard even though the inquest has now concluded, a spokesman said.

The Metropolitan Police also confirmed that it is not currently investigating any perjury allegations relating to the case - although it did not rule out doing so in the future.

After he gave evidence to the inquest in January, Mr Burrell was caught on camera admitting that he had not told the "whole truth" and had given the jury some "red herrings".

There is prima facie evidence that perjury has been committed, therefore the police have a duty to investigate.

I WONDER WHAT TOMMY SHERIDAN WILL THINK OF THAT ONE

08.04.08, 11:34pm

It seems the law is for some and not for others is I think what he will say.

I cannot understand why perjury is used in some cases and not in others

THIS IS JUST VILE!

So here we have a man who has told blatant lies and he gets away with it.

In the ground in Paris lies a man who has been blamed for the death of Princess Diana, even though there is CCTV evidence that clearly shows he was not drunk, and could not have possibly had the high percentage of carbon monoxide in his blood that was reported.

Burrell knows too much.

HOW LUCKY CAN ONE MAN BE.

Those of you that recall the court case he was in the dock for a few years ago..... Remember the LADY that spoke out for him. On that occassion he was in the dock one minute, then in the street reading a statement the next. THIS MAN IS WELL CONNECTED. Maybe the coroner has great foresight, by getting him charged with perjury it might open a great big can of worms. Just looked at burrell`s website. Would you believe me when I say it is CLOSED...for updates it says. Probably in a bar somewhere
