BAD-boy rocker Pete Doherty was finally jailed yesterday after flouting the orders of a judge who tried to help him kick drugs.

He was sent to prison for 14 weeks. A court source said he was taken to Wormwood Scrubs jail in the back of a prison van.

After months of being lenient, Judge Davinder Lachar’s patience with the 29-year-old Babyshambles singer finally snapped.

He was jailed for “breach of time-keeping, unacceptable behaviour, non-compliance with his order and using drugs”.

Doherty, the former boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, missed one appointment with his probation team and turned up late for another.

After the hearing at West London magistrates court, his lawyer Sean Curren said the singer was “philosophical” about it and added: “He’s not an angel, but he did try.”

Doherty will be eligible for release in seven weeks, but his record company said he will have to postpone a show at the Royal Albert Hall in late April – his biggest solo performance yet.

what are the odds that he will be released on medical grounds after a few days. He should have been jailed after his second offence - it might have taught him a few lessons.

The way the legal system has handled this pillock verges on the insane.

What a message this gives out to our youngsters. It shows you can flout the law time and time again making it a complete laughing stock.

If I'm not mistaken he has breached numerous other court orders and gets 14 weeks. That'll be 7 weeks in a delux holiday camp.

Pity I can only afford 2 weeks in a caravan this year.

This poor excuse for a human being is a snot nosed little pillock, 14 weeks is not long enough, he should be jailed for longer, and when released we should all ignore the attention seeking little git.
How they get the publicity is a mystery to me, have you ever heard him perform?? why do people give him the time of day, and thier money for such crap?
