The sunny spells are set to continue

Wednesday May 7,2008

By Julia White and Nicola McCafferty for express.co.uk

GLORIOUS sunshine sent temperatures soaring to 75F in parts of the UK today.

Slashing yesterday's record as the warmest day of the year so far, forecasters have now predicted that the glorious sunny spells enjoyed in Britain today look set to continue right through to the weekend.

Sunseekers are set to bask in sunshine all week long, with temperatures expected to soar to 70-75F (21 - 24C).

And those who have missed out on the weekend's heatwave will finally get to enjoy the blazing temperatures - with the sunshine week reaching as far north as the Scottish Highlands.

John Hutchinson, a weather forecaster for MeteoGroup, said: “The coming week looks like it will be dominated by dry weather, at least until Thursday."

Most parts of the country are expected to see the beginning of the British summer, with the weather predicted to be dry and fine, yet the South West could see the odd shower tomorrow and Thursday.

The forecaster added: “Friday is looking a little less certain. The fine conditions will hang on in a lot of places but there will be some rain trying to come in from the west.”

The Bank Holiday weekend sunshine was warmer than average, forcing bookmakers to slash the odds on temperatures hitting 100F this summer.

East Anglia and the South East enjoyed the best of the sunny weather, with London recording a temperature of 23C (73F).

RAIN FORCAST FOR BANK HOLIDAY

07.05.08, 10:37pm

Oh yeah, that was last weekend, sorry the news is a bit late and a bit wrong. That's what the weather forcast was last Friday!

So some people change their plans and don't go out in their cars. I suppose that's why people listen to forecasts, so they can make plans.

I am not annoyed they got it wrong, we let them make mistakes. It just gets a bit tiresome when even the weather forcasters are into SPIN. Who paid them to say it would rain, what was the real purpose of this?

The have done it other times when predicting totally massive snow storms that never happen. Yeah it snows a little but the biggest effect was the fact there was no traffic!

I first noticed the spinning of the weather forecast in October 1987. The spinning storm was noticed by a viewer but not by the weatherman with all his sattlelites and shipping data. What was the purpose of this?

Manybe you have guessed that I believe nothing is a mistake and everything is deliberate. It's a mind game but on some of this I am right, just by chance.
