Victoria Pearson, a well-known reporter from the LA Chronicle, has been found dead in the grounds of a baseball stadium.

Shark discovers that Victoria was working on a story to expose Don Kipling, a fitness trainer allegedly involved in a doping scandal.

He is later arrested for the murder.

But the case isn’t as clear-cut as it appears when Shark’s own medical examiner becomes the prime suspect.

Away from the courtroom, Shark’s ex-wife Claire pays him an unexpected visit.
