ARE YOU FED UP OF PAYING FOR LABOUR'S SPIN?

Saturday May 10,2008

LABOUR’S spin doctors are costing the taxpayer an incredible £400,000 more under Gordon Brown, it was claimed today.

And new analysis by the Conservatives claims their total cost has now reached as high as £6.3million in pay and pensions.

The number of  ministerial special advisers has risen as Mr Brown’s troubles deepen, after an initial fall when he took over at Number 10 last June.

Harriet Harman has four advisers to help her in her role as Labour deputy, Commons leader, party chair and  Minister for Women.

Fifty-two special advisers are believed to be employed in various departments.

So, what do you think?

Are all these extra advisers really justified?

Or are you fed up of paying for Labour's spin?

LABOUR SPIN

30.05.08, 5:05pm

Once and for all can we consign the MYTH about global warming to the dust bin.
This would in one full swipe remove endless excuses for SPIN, about how we should be conducting our lives, why we have to pay ECO taxes, able to sack hordes of useless state inspectors, have our rubbish collected and disposed of, relieve motorists of the feeling of guilt by using roads that were built for one purpose only and put the responsibility back on MP's to do the job they are overpaid for and that is to use our money, to run this country as it should be, not to keep coming up with excuse after excuse.
Global Warming is a myth and its got to the point of hysteria, purely as a way to detract from the important issues of our time.
If it is to be believed, then I would suggest that all the Rockets blasted into space and all the satellites "spinning" around in space are the real problem, if there is a problem.
The truth, SPIN.

SPINNERS SHOULD HAVE NO PLACE IN GOVERNMENT

20.05.08, 4:59am

If it is necessary to weave a story to make a part of policy more attractive there must be something wrong with it. But as long as the spin is not unravelled politicians will use spin doctors to hide the truth. One example of this is the introduction of Community Support Officers instead of recruiting more police officers, the Chief Constable of Derbyshire said on Radio Peak that the government is trying to police on the cheap and that 7 out of 10 members of the public want to see more police officers on the job. He also said that the actual number of officers is falling and the CSO's numbers are increasing. I think that this is only a part of the truth and that the real reason is that the left wing want political police under their control but to hear the spinners tales it is to assist the police by dealing with the more mundane parts of policing. It is quite feasible that the idea of the police having the right to strike is being encouraged by the lefties and when they do they will be disparaged by the government so that the politicals can take over. Far fetched as it may sound there are those in politics who want a communist state yet our only hope of competing as a nation against other nations is to work together regardless of political ideals because these other nations will want to enhance their profile over ours. This is something that was very successful in the 1939/45 second world war. All politicians pulled together, we need that again now.

Paying for Labours spin is something that we should not have to do, we were never asked if we wanted it and we never will. If you think that I am suspicious of Labours motives you are correct.

FREE MARKET CAPITALISM - NOT A LICENCE TO LOOT???

15.05.08, 9:06am

"your rhetoric suggests that you are against free market capitalism. would you like supermarket chains to be tightly regulated by the government?are you advocating socialism? or worse?• Posted by: crayfishbanker"

In respone to "crayfishbanker", I suggest he reads the following posted by The_Boss:

CAPITALISM RUNNING AMOK
14.05.08, 1:41pm

This is what happens when greedy speculators target crops, forcing the price up artificially, and causing massive suffering worldwide, so I won't be shedding any tears for the scum in the City who have lost, and will lose their jobs.

Not to mention idiotic governments converting crops to fuel, instead of funding and finding alternative sources, and simply people using transport less and getting more exercise.

AND CAN I ADD HERE THAT THE SUPERMARKETS ARE ALSO A MAJOR PART OF THIS RIP OFFS.
