LEFT: McCormack has quit Motherwell but has not yet decided where he'll move to

Monday May 26,2008

By Scott Burns

ROSS McCORMACK has decided to quit Motherwell.

The youngster has a string of options in England, from Premiership Wigan to Championship sides Bristol City, Coventry, Nottingham Forest, Norwich and Watford, to Hearts in the SPL.

The 21 year old, who has been called up to the Scotland squad for the first time, has still to make up his mind where his next move will be but he knows he has to play regularly to keep himself in the thoughts of national coach Burley.

“If I get on and get my cap then obviously that would be good for my CV, McCormack admitted. ''I still have to sort out my future. There are a few clubs who have put offers on the table and after the Scotland game I can sit down and look at things. I have a few options but it is all about picking the best move for my career.”

The playmaker could have left Motherwell in January, as Premiership Middlesbrough and Wigan made offers, but he decided it wasn’t the right time after the death of club captain Phil O’Donnell.
